Great news: with Leopard, there is no need for iCalFix anymore!
Bad news: iCalFix is not compatible with the new version of iCal and the latter keeps complaining about the former.
A lot of people have asked the author -BTW: thanks again, Robert, for creating iCalFix when it was needed- how to remove iCalFix but never got a reply.
Here is a veeery simple fix:
Simply remove the input manager from /Library/InputManagers
Using the shell:
sudo rm -rf /Library/InputManagers/iCalFix

Hi,
I have hunted far and wide, and goggled my problem once a month for 6, but alas, each time I open ical I get “This version of iCal is not supported by iCalFix”. I have previously removed all that I could find of iCal, emailed Robert Blum, considered re installing ical, but wait… your my last shot!!
I’m just a user not a coder, anything sudo like and it’s open heart surgery for me! I can’t even find the input manager folder in my library. Any advice you can give me to shake off the residue of icalfix I would really appreaciate it!! Thanks.
If you look into /Library (from your volume’s root, not from your home directory, where it would be ~/Library) do you see a ‘InputManagers’ folder? That’s where it should be.
Brilliant thanks you!
